June 29,2025 The Slime Boys are putting on a Fishing tournament.  Slots are just 35 bucks!  We are offering 10% off all fishing gear for tournament participants the day of the event! Plus, we donated a sick rod and reel combo of the winner!  

The Dam is a restricted area, that is not open to fishing or recreational activities.  However from the area of the dam  you will find a short dirt path that leads to the Boathouse. This area is open to fishing .

The Large house sitting on the island in is an attractant to many geese and people.   You may look from a boat or from shore, but this is private property.  There is a proximity alarm on the island that is set to alarm authorities if someone were to go into the island, so please look but don't touch

 Rainy & Overcast Days 

• Lure type: Topwater lures like walking baits and poppers are effective because rain and clouds often bring fish to the surface.
• Why it works: Overcast conditions can increase fish activity near the surface.
• Examples: Topwater frogs, buzz baits, and walking lures.

Cold Water (Under 50°F) 

• Lure type: Slower-moving lures like jerk baits, small swimbaits, and spoons are best for cold water, where fish are less active.
• Why it works: Slower presentations give inactive fish more time to react and strike.
• Examples: Jerk baits, spoons, and blade baits.

Low Visibility Conditions (Cloudy, Murky)

• Lure color: Unreflective, dark-colored lures are often more effective than bright, reflective ones because fish have trouble distinguishing them in dim light. 
• Lure action: Noisy lures, like buzz baits, can also attract fish in these conditions. 
• Examples: Dark-colored plastics, unreflective spoons, or buzz baits. 

Sunny Conditions
